Educator Highlight: Tito Alvarado

“I was 17/18 years old at the time I first saw the lemons. The infographics caught me at first glance. I thought that representing breasts as lemons was a smart move and [it] would be easy to reach [people] with them.”

We are so happy that one of Tito’s first introductions to breast cancer was through our material. At a young age he had the drive to help people. That passion, combined with our easy to understand materials, is what is helping him teach about early detection for breast cancer. We are so grateful that Tito takes time out of his busy schedule to be involved in raising awareness. We encourage you to support his efforts in teaching those around him by donating to our cause.

Because of Tito’s story, Dawn’s story as a health ed teacher in Wales, and countless others, we have put together Breast School – a program for anyone interested in Breast Health – be that yourself, your family & friends, your high school students, or even (future) healthcare professionals.
